Description

When driving to paint with some artist friends, I drove by this old truck. I screeched to a stop and asked the neighbors if it still ran. They replied that it certainly ran, in fact the driver picked up the dead flowers at the cemetery down the street once a week.

In order to capture the texture on the truck, I coated the watercolor paper with white gesso on a rough, textured paintbrush. When the gesso dried, I had a textured surface to paint on! What a fun project to paint!
