The goal of this video is to strengthen one’s current understanding of line and direction, and encourage you to use some vertical, horizontal and/or diagonal lines in your paintings.
Colors chosen for this video were the three primaries, yellow, red and blue. When choosing which three primaries to use, ask yourself if you want a predominantly warm or cool painting.
Value Sketch: What can you omit from the photo to simplify the elements? What elements can you use to push the viewer towards the center of interest?
