Description
I photographed these two giraffes in South Africa. The two male giraffes were “necking” for male dominance. The smaller giraffe backed away after about 20 minutes of banging their necks together. They lock their legs at the knee to give them more power to swing their necks.
Since this was a rare event to see, I decided to paint it as a watercolor as soon as I returned home.
