Original watercolor of an old family farmhouse situated on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River near Woodstock, Virginia. My watercolor class gathered there in the spring for a potluck lunch. Artists do need to eat in order to create, you know. We all took photos, sketched a bit and admired the garden, especially the Virginia Bluebells down by the river. This painting is the result of a fun day spent with friends, laughing and eating.
I especially love the tree growing next to the springhouse and the way the light played upon the stones.
